The image decoder reads the first frame and converts it to PNG pixels before outline or heightmap processing. Sampling is limited to 512 points on the longest edge.
Layers and animation are not preserved. HDR images become display-range pixels; color is not stored in standard STL. This creates a relief or extrusion, not a reconstruction of hidden surfaces.
Start with a clean source, choose dimensions appropriate to the intended use, and inspect the exported file. A successful conversion does not guarantee printability or automatic mesh repair. Read our detailed workflow guide for the decisions that matter.
Raster images: 20 MB and 24 million pixels. SVG: 2 MB. Image sampling is up to 512 points on the longest edge. Width 10–300 mm, proportional height 1–600 mm, depth 0.2–20 mm, relief base 0.5–10 mm.
One file at a time. Processing stops after 90 seconds. Files remain in browser memory, and no conversion upload is performed. Replacing a file clears the previous result. Closing the tab releases its working data.

Open STL output in the STL viewer, then verify the scale and geometry in your slicer. OBJ output can be checked in a mesh application.
