Inspect before you print

The viewer reports source coordinate units because STL does not define a dependable unit system. Our image-generated STL files use millimeter-sized coordinates.

What the viewer does not do

It does not repair holes, certify manifold geometry or verify printer settings. Check sliced layers before printing. Files up to 50 MB and 1.2 million triangles are supported.

Open an STL and check what is actually there

Select an STL file rather than changing another document’s extension. Compare the dimensions with a known measurement and inspect thin or disconnected surfaces. A successful preview does not certify a watertight mesh, correct manufacturing tolerances or printer compatibility; review the result in your target slicer as well.
